It’s Christmas Time…again.

summer-1-36

Ah, December!  It feels so good to have finally reached you.  I have always loved Christmas season.  I’m the “buy a Frasier fir and decorate it to Stevie Wonder’s Christmas album,” kind of girl.  It’s a lot of, “Let’s see the Nutcracker!” and “Let’s drive through the park lights and go to the craft fair!” and “Let’s hit the outlets for birthday and Christmas shopping!”

And I’m proud to say…I’ve done half of one of those things.

I’ll be perfectly candid with you; I’ve made it through the first week of December and am feeling the “Let’s take a long winter’s nap!” vibe more than anything.  Every night I’ve treated myself with a Christmas episode from The Office.  And right now, I am okay with that!  I’ve needed a few moments to just chill – and not in the winter wonderland sort of way.  It was a wild and wonderful November, with 13 sessions shot, edited, and delivered in two weeks.

Most of those sessions were located at Lebanon Christmas Tree Farm in Ridgeville.  It definitely gave the perfect Christmas vibe, and the fact that they allowed pets also made the photos super fun.  The boys insisted on seeing each dog from each session, and now they know them all by name.  (You know, in the cute-but-vaguely-stalkerish way only little kids can pull off.)  My clients were beautiful and so full of love. I had so much fun and drove home content and exhausted.  Also, I now know who tells the best jokes, who takes the longest in the bathroom, which mom makes AWESOME cereal, and what everyone wants for Christmas.  You know, in a maybe-not-so-cute, stalkerish way?

I’m just kidding.  I’m 37 and I can’t remember anything anymore.

I thought I’d share some here on the blog in celebration of my being THISCLOSE to done for the season!  One session left to edit and a makeup session to shoot.  Now, if I can manage to escape the stomach virus my youngest has, we’ll truly be golden!  😉
