Recently, I met with a friend and her lovely family to do a portrait session on the beach. It was a hot, July evening with very few clouds, though the ocean breeze provided a little relief. The tide was high. If you are a regular beach goer, you probably realize that means everyone is squished up on a narrow strip of beach. When you are trying to take family portraits, that can make finding space, pretty light, framing elements, and good angles mildly difficult, no matter how courteous everyone is!
Still, after trekking around to various parts of the beach, we were rewarded with a warm, golden sunset reflecting off of the water in the creek. It was a beautiful backdrop for us to show off the love her sweet family shares.
