This is probably no surprise to anyone, but October and November are typically family photographers’ busiest season. If you are like me, at least 12 of your friends have posted about being super excited for Christmas the day after Halloween. (You know who you are.) People are getting ready to send out Christmas cards, or photos as gifts, or maybe they just realize the end of 2017 is nigh and they have no documentation of anything besides cute, wooby Snapchat filter selfies. In our house, cute and wooby is overrated; we much prefer dancing hot dog selfie vids.
So this post is not only being written to remind you to schedule your family portraits — unless you are sending out deer filter cards from Rudolph, Clarice, and the gang, in which case I salute your creativity and would like to be on your address list — but also to show off some of the beautiful families I’ve been photographing.
And because I mentioned a reminder, here it is: I am only booking sessions through the last day of November. Our household has three birthdays in December, and combined with the various Christmas obligations and celebrations, I would never get photos edited and back to you in time for you to send them out in a timely manner. However, if you do new year cards — and from someone who HAS done new year cards the year she had a baby in December, no judgment — email me and we can talk. Everyone else — check your calendars for November! I still have Christmas tree farm minis available, too! They’re seasonal, they’re totally fun, and they come with 25 Christmas cards that you don’t have to design. And they are totally quality. I’m going to Facebook live about them soon. My IG stories will have examples, too. After November, I am closing up my mini session offerings for a while so if you want to take advantage of it, now is the time.
Oh! And – as a teaser, look out for fun announcements on small business Saturday.
Now, on to my terrific clients.
