Friends, I hope this blog post finds you healthy and well. As South Carolina has eased up on its business restrictions, I have begun taking client sessions again. I missed it dearly but am still adjusting to a normal “workflow” again! Usually spring warms me up for summer tourist season in terms of designated email response and session planning time. (If you only knew how many hours go into responding to emails, inquiries, and other necessities!) But with no sessions throughout most of March and all of April into May, my time was mostly dedicated to assisting my kiddos with their schoolwork.
Needless to say, I have had to brush up on my old routine.
One of my first sessions post-businesses opening again was a small wedding for a local couple. I know that for many folks with weddings planned for this year, the impact of the Coronavirus has been stressful, and even gutting. But so many couples are proving to be resilient. Plans may be changed, but love stories are not. I have been getting more requests for photographing elopements and small ceremonies (my specialty, when it comes to unions), and I am so excited about that. I am always deeply moved by displays of love. Togetherness, even in simplicity, is beautiful.
I feel sure you’ll think so, too.
